The International Triathlon Union (ITU) teamed up with Blerter to deliver a safe and successful event in New Plymouth, New Zealand.
The ITU Triathlon World Cup is an action-packed sprint distance triathlon, consisting of a 750m swim, a 20km cycle and 5km run.
With Blerter, ITU were able to communicate in realtime with crew members and volunteers - allowing them to streamline their delivery, prepare for things that can go wrong and increase crew engagement across the event.
By having two-way communication on Blerter, volunteers were informed every step of the way and felt more connected with the rest of the team, which was particularly crucial for a large outdoor event situated in a fairly remote area.
